Message from the Deputy Principal Administration

Welcome to Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, a premier institution committed to excellence in technical and vocational education and training. As the Deputy Principal Administration, it is my privilege to share with you some of the key milestones and achievements that reflect our dedication to quality, innovation, and the welfare of our staff and students.

The Polytechnic is proud to have attained the esteemed ISO 9001:2015 certification, a testament to our rigorous commitment to maintaining internationally recognized quality management standards across all our operations. Successfully transitioning from the ISO 9001:2008 standard to ISO 9001:2015 in January 2018, our Quality Management System (QMS) now provides a robust framework guiding daily operations across all departments. Each department follows well-documented procedures under the stewardship of designated Process Owners, who develop annual quality objectives aligned with the institution’s strategic goals. These objectives, approved by the Chief Principal and periodically reviewed, ensure our continuous efforts to improve service delivery, enhance stakeholder satisfaction, and uphold best practices throughout the Polytechnic.

We have invested substantially in developing state-of-the-art infrastructure, equipped with modern facilities that foster an environment conducive to effective learning and innovation. Our classrooms, laboratories, and workshops are designed to meet the evolving needs of industry and to provide hands-on experience using the latest technology.

Our focus extends beyond physical infrastructure to creating an improved work environment. As a result of our continuous commitment to enhancing environmental health and safety practices, our workplace has been officially registered by the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to promoting employee well-being, safety, and productivity.
